Payment
A minimum payment of 50% of the total cost is required to secure your booking.
Full payment must be made by 24 hours prior to the appointment.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel a pre-arranged appointment the following terms apply:
- 72+ hours notice - full refund.
- 24-72 hours notice - 50% refund of total cost.
- Within 24 hours - no refund.
In the event that I am required to cancel an appointment, a full refund will be given.
Terms of Engagement
I understand that the consultation will, and or, may involve any of the below;
Discussions about my body, my anatomy and my health
Discussions about my physical and mental health history
Discussions around pregnancy
Discussion around previous breastfeeding experiences
Visual inspection of my breasts and nipples
Visual inspection of me breastfeeding or bottle feeding
Demonstrations of techniques appropriate to infant feeding
Discussions around my babies health and weight gain, top-up feeds, feeding plans.
I understand that
Any information given will be confidential and will be protected by the Code of Ethics of the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLE) and the Scope of Practice for IBCLC’s
I am responsible for giving the information requested to allow the IBCLC to make appropriate recommendations.
Withholding information cold have serious impact on myself and my baby/babies.
Breastfeeding, chestfeeding and/or infant feeding difficulties may sometimes take a significant period of time to resolve and may require changes to be made.
Discussions and recommendations are made in relation to healthy term infants and may need to be adapted should this change. eg. preterm birth
Any recommendations made in my care plan should be discussed with my health care provider before they are implemented.
Personal details, history and information will be used and kept in accordance with GDPR (see my GDPR statement)
Ann Watts IBCLC may pass on information or contact relevant health care providers if she feels it is appropriate, this will always be with your knowledge and consent unless she feels there is risk to you or your baby.
